Hmmm... (Inagural Update)
So I was debating wether to initiate my new rant-site with a rant or a poem, but I'm fresh outa poems at the moment, and there's things to say.
Firstly, why am I here? Oh Lord let's not get into that....why is this BLOG here though, that we can talk about. Apparently Xanga is evil (duh) and TAC blocked it because one of its banner ads is for a porn site. Fair enough, but that means death to Joe's blog. So be it.
Second, as I'm not sure all of you know, I screwed up badly with a girl early this year and was all depressed about it, plus she and her new boyfriend are always in the classroom building I clean (pain), but I went and saw Jerry, my shrink, cause I hadn't in a while, and things are better. Better then they've been in a long time actually. Life is just better now, everything's more enjoyable, and I feel like some weight and dread has been taken away. That's probably also due to daily mass and communion (w00t God!), and being with my friends again, but still, things are better.
Also (don't condemn me til I'm done please) I met another girl (I SAID DON'T CONDEMN ME YET!). Laura Thibideau (silly french names), a very nice girl in my seminar who I met when she went out to lunch with Jen, Nick, and I. Nick confesses that he set this up deliberately, but that's ok I suppose. I may be stupid and forgetful, but it's been about 3 weeks since I last got burned. I'm being careful. I'm not showering her with gifts, obsessing about her, or following her around like a lost puppy. I'm being all independant and cool (Jerry would be so proud). I do, of course, take her up on opportunities to study (knowing Euclid is awesome, teaching it is better), and today I'm supposed to be helping her with algebra. Whatever the case may be though, I'm really glad that to meet another awesome person in the freshman class. Except for J. Frank, who I sort of knew before this, and other freshman (like sasha) that I really knew before this, I hadn't really made a whole lot of friends. But Laura is awesome and stuff, so life is good.
Classes are also good, and theology is finally bearable. Language we're stuck on sentences (damn you right to hell Nessfield you sick old bastard...), and Philosophy we're having trouble because Socrates is retarded. Recollection my big toe...
So yes, that is how things be in the life of Joe. This will be my new conduit to y'all for news and stuff, as well as where I post my poems. Which are all awesome of course.
